                                ORDINANCE NO. 9524
        
        
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO
                   AMEND ARTICLE V, SECTION 503, BY ADDING A NEW
                   SUBSECTION (13) TO ALLOW OFFICES IN C-1 HIGHWAY
                   COMMERCIAL ZONES.

              	   WHEREAS, it has been determined that the term
         "offices" should be included as a permitted use in the C-1
         Highway Commercial Zone; and
              	   WHEREAS, the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional
         Planning Commission Staff has reviewed a proposed amendment to
         the Chattanooga Zoning Ordinance and recommended same to the
         City Council of the City of Chattanooga;
                                 NOW, THEREFORE,
              	   BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
         CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, 
the
         Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
              	   SECTION 1.  That Article V, Section 503, be amended by 

         adding a new subsection (13) as follows:
                                 "(13) Offices."
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance 

         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as
         required by law.
